Chris Bowie


Chris has a passion for training and coaching baseball, particularly infield defense, baserunning, hitting, and the mental side of the game. After playing Collegiate ball at SUNY Jefferson, Chris pursued a PhD in Clinical Psychology but continued playing ball in the Long Island Men’s Amateur Baseball League and Westchester-Putnam Men's League. Chris has 10 years of experience running baseball clinics and camps in New York City and Kingston and in the past five years has coached All-Star teams for the Kingston Baseball Association. In addition to coaching baseball skills, Chris will be leading Xtra Innings’ Cognitive Fitness program. He has a doctorate in Clinical Psychology and post-doctoral training in Neuroscience and Neuropsychology and is an internationally-recognized scientific leader in training thinking skills, such as attentional focus, reaction time, processing speed, shifting attention, decision making, and inhibition.

Rob Burk


Rob is a passionate coach focused on developing athletes at all levels. After playing AAA for the Sarnia Brigade, he finished his playing career in the Intercounty League for the Kitchener Panthers. He is an experienced coach with 18 years leading high-level softball and baseball teams.




Denver Hunt


Denver has years of high-calibre baseball experience. He has been a dedicated and passionate baseball coach for more than 20 years. Denver has had the opportunity to be coached and trained by some great baseball minds within the CLE, LAD, and HOU organizations. As a mentor and role model, his coaching emphasizes on the importance of discipline, mentality, skill development and having fun in all the players he coaches.


Sean Adamson


Sean has a passion for baseball. He has been involved in the Kingston baseball scene coaching Rep level teams since 2001. He has coached on teams with Kingston Thunder, Kingston Colts and Eastern Ontario Baseball Elite teams. His passion for baseball continues to grow and he is consistently increasing his baseball knowledge by taking courses and talking with coaching peers.


Coach Sean believes that baseball has a lot of similarities to life. There are many ups and downs as there are in life. It's how you handle these situations that define us as a person and a player. Coach Sean focuses on the players ability to learn about themselves and their tendencies during their training sessions. This will help translate to the field and make in-game adjustments for success. Areas of particular focus are infielding, hitting, pitching, catching and game strategy.


Jeff Melrose


Jeff is the Head Coach for Queen's University's baseball team and Hitting Coordinator for Watson Elite Baseball in Ottawa. Jeff came to Queen's as a coach after a playing career with Team Ontario, 18U National Team, NCAA D1 at Binghamton University, and as a player with the Barrie Baycats. He will be available for lessons at Xtra Innings Baseball.

Corey Compeau


Corey is a Director with Developmental Services Ontario South East Region and has worked in the health and developmental sectors for nearly 25 years. Corey has dedicated his professional career to advocating and supporting society’s most vulnerable individuals and has a passion for giving back to his community. Corey is a Kingston native who grew up playing many competitive sports including AAA hockey and Kingston Braves Baseball. Upon graduating from playing youth sports Corey has spent the last 20 years volunteering his time coaching young athletes in a variety of sports. Corey’s coaching resume includes boy’s AAA hockey, Kingston Ice Wolves Competitive Hockey, KBA Baseball and Kingston Girls’ Softball. Corey looks forward to continuing to give back to young athletes as a part of the Xtra Innings team in the Cognitive Fitness Program.


Jerimie Bedard


Coach Jerimie has a passion for pitching and assisting young people in being the best versions of themselves both on and off the field. He believes lessons learned on the field assist us in being better citizens and that these same lessons often help us find success while working through life’s challenges. Jerimie often leans on his Master of Arts in Leadership Degree, earned at Royal Roads University while assisting his players in becoming stronger leaders and teammates. While Jerimie has played and coached several different sports over the years, baseball is his sport of choice. Jerimie is in his fourth year coaching at the rep level for the Kingston Colts.

Ryan Ashurst


Ryan has played baseball in the Kingston area for 20 years and is excited to bring his experience and love of the game to coaching. During his time at Erie Community College, Ryan had a former MLB player coaching his favourite two parts of the game: infielding and hitting. Ryan grew up playing for Kingston Thunder and as SS won the OBA's in 2016. While attending Frontenac Secondary in his Grade 12 year, he was the player/coach. Ryan has assisted also with Kingston Thunder teams.





Nico Bolt


Nico has played high level ball in Kingston for 16 years, most recently with the 22U Thunder Junior team. He is looking forward to using his experience as pitcher and catcher to give back to training younger players in Kingston.



Jack Birkas


Jack is a third-year Pitcher at the University of Ottawa. Jack has a background in competitive baseball for seven years and has excelled at the highest levels. He has a willingness to help others and uses his background and current skills to coach kids to the best of their abilities.


Jayce Boshart


Jayce is an experienced catcher who has run camps and clinics for the past two years. He is a two-time Premier Baseball League of Ontario All-Star. Jayce played for Team Canada at the "World Comes to Palm Beach" tournament in 2022. He is currently playing for the Kingston Jr. Ponies 18U team.



Kaden Fowler


Kaden is an experienced fastpitch pitcher and middle infielder who has been to four Canadian National Championships winning two golds, a silver and a bronze. He has also won an individual All-Star award at the Canadian Championships. He is going into his seventh season in competitive softball playing for the u20 Napanee Express. Kaden and his team will be attending the 2024 u20 Canadian Championships this summer as defending champions. Kaden has also played and pitched in senior men’s fastpitch tournaments in the USA. He has also assisted with boys and girls fastpitch tryouts as well as helped run practices and indoor training.


Nic Campeau


Nic is an experienced middle infielder who has played for the Kingston Colts and Kingston Junior Ponies U16/U18 since their inaugural season. This fall, Nic was offered the opportunity to play for Watson Elite in the Canadian Premier Baseball League (CPBL) for the fall 2023 and the upcoming 2024 18U season. Nic has been playing competitive baseball for seven years. He helped run summer baseball camps and develop youth baseball players. Nic is highly dedicated to improving as a player and looks forward to working with local baseball players and building their skills and passion for baseball.
